We are all wanted as criminals for breaking the law. We are wanted dead or alive. God wants us alive, because that is when we can begin to form a relationship with Him, which will become eternal. The adversary wants us dead in our sins, not seeking forgiveness from God.
John 3:36 Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God’s wrath remains on them.
Some people sulk away from God because they feel unforgivable. Some people sneak away from God not wanting His mercy yet. Unfortunately for them, they may continue in their sin and never know the blessing of an eternal life with Christ.
Romans 7:18 For I know that good itself does not dwell in me, that is, in my sinful nature. For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out.
Due to God’s unconditional love, He wants us to experience life with Him eternally. When we have recognized ourselves as a sinner, accepting Christ as our personal Savior, making Him the Lord of our life, we no longer need to rely on ourselves to resist temptation. The Holy Spirit will strengthen us to live a life in Christ.
2 Corinthians 13:14 May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.
Know that you are wanted by God, to experience His deep satisfying love.
